W124 — The Benchmark

1995–2023
The E-Class Name is Born
Mercedes-Benz officially introduced the "E-Class" designation with the W210 in 1995. The name comes from "Einspritzung" (fuel injection). Each subsequent generation brought significant advances in technology, comfort, and performance.
2023–Present
The Latest Generation W214
The current W214 E-Class, unveiled in 2023, features a massive central display, MBUX Superscreen, hybrid powertrains, and Level 2+ autonomous driving capabilities, continuing to define the executive sedan segment.
